Research Area: FPGA-based power electronics converters for microgrid or EV applications.
Dr. Rishiraj Sarker (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. in electrical and electronics engineering and the M.Tech. degree in power systems engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India in 2010 and 2015, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 2022.
Currently, he serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. Previously, from 2022 to 2023, he worked as a Faculty/Postdoctoral Associate with the Energy, Power, Sustainability, and Intelligence (EPSi) Group at Florida International University, Miami, USA. Between 2016 to 2022, he worked as a power electronics researcher in the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Govt. of India, respectively. He has also served in several universities of India as a faculty member including Jadavpur University, Kolkata (from 2019 to 2022), Mizoram University, Aizawl (from 2018 to 2019), and Techno India College of Technology, Kolkata (from 2015 to 2016). His research interest encompasses the design of FPGA-based power electronics converters for microgrid or EV applications.
Dr. Sarker has received several Govt. of India award including CSIR-SRF in 2019, DeitY-JRF in 2016, and MHRD-GATE in 2013. He has authored several research articles in international journals/conferences including highly prestigious IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (Impact Factor: 12.3). He is a regular reviewer of various IEEE Transactions journals (e.g., Industrial Informatics, Power Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Applications) and other scientific articles.
